PNF
What is PNF?
Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is an established analysis and treatment concept in physiotherapy that aims to specifically promote muscle strength, coordination, and mobility. Targeted stimulation of muscles, tendons, and joints improves the interaction between the nervous system and the muscles. The goal is to activate existing resources and perform movements in a more economical and controlled manner. PNF works with guided, spiral, and diagonal movement patterns that correspond to the natural movements of the body in everyday life and sports.
At the same time, PNF has also proven itself in sports physiotherapy to increase performance, improve movement quality, and safely return to sporting activities after an accident or injury.
